About this deal

any alterations they may have made to the formula over the years are relatively minor, as any of my bottles, old or new, still read as, "Yes, that's still 4711! Some say that the scent is timeless and refreshing, and that it brings back so many lovely memories. This historic cologne has the most glorious fragrance, and somehow manages to be calming and revitalizing at the same time. Eau De Cologne Tissue Wipes instantly cleanse and revitalise your skin, leaving it with that signature scent of citrus, Lavender and Rosemary essential oils. It's an established Eau de Cologne since generations and when I smell it I just know it's 4711 unmistakably.

Odd combination however: the Germans love their 4711 cologne water but I've never seen the large bottle in any German bathroom. Once I saw a picture of it years later and knew the name, I bought a bottle for myself, just to see if it smelled like I remembered. is a nice substitute and much more affordable by comparison, but if you’re looking for something stronger, richer, and lasts longer, then consider Colonia.I also find this to be perfectly unisex as it doesn’t lean feminine or masculine and for being the oldest cologne out there I didn’t expect this to smell as modern.

Its fresh and uplifting aroma brightens her day and leaves a lingering scent that lasts throughout the day.In conclusion, the 4711 Original Eau De Cologne in the 300ml bottle size is a beloved fragrance that continues to capture hearts with its classic appeal. It's not the typical sharp citrus like in Aventus clones, it' more on the gentle, full, sweet side, which might be read as insipid. For over two centuries, 4711 Original Eau de Cologne has been part of the classic repertoire of perfumery – a world-renowned icon. As a result, it is not surprising that the bottle and cover have remained virtually unchanged since the nineteenth century.

Selected ingredients include lemon, bergamot and orange as well as lavender, rosemary, neroli and petitgrain. The citrus opening lasts maybe about one minute for me, then it gets very green and grassy, a little bitter too if you overapply. It’s not overwhelming and lasts a little while not all day and that’s good so you can use it as a refresher to cool you down on a hot day or just smell nice for a few hours anytime any day any occasion. Created by Wilhelm Muelhens, the 4711 perfume range consists of orange oil, basil, peach, bergamot and lemon at the top; lily, melon jasmine, cyclamen and Bulgarian rose through the middle notes, finished with base notes of tahitan vetiver, sandlewood, musk, patchouli, oakmoss and cedar. fragrances were made in collaboration with perfumers Alexandra Monet, Alexandra Kalle, Philippine Courtière, Juliette Karagueuzoglou, Elise Benat, Geza Schoen, Natalie Gracia-Cetto, Mathieu Nardin, Fanny Bal, Cecile Hua, Soizic Beaucourt, Dora Baghriche, Wilhelm Muelhens, Miro Branimir Senjak, Julien Rasquinet, Mirella Pomina, Mark Buxton, Daniela Marty, Nelly Hachem-Ruiz, Daphné Bugey, Lucas Sieuzac, Vincent Schaller, Nicolas Beaulieu, Delphine Lebeau, Nathalie Lorson, Alex Lee and Celine Barel. As this is a 'splash on for a refreshing burst of citrus cleanness' type fragrance, the splash flacons and larger sizes are great as you can apply generously and feel revitalised on a hot day.

Because it has been produced in Cologne since at least 1799, it is allowed to use the geographical indication Original Eau de Cologne. Soft neroli emerges early on, rounding out the zesty citruses of the opening, and becomes the dominant note.Yes my German grandmother wore it - she had an amazing dressing table set of a huge curved bottle with a balloon hand-pump covered in turquoise cloth, and I'm so mad I didn't inherit it. You won’t really notice any difference between a product purchased from Perfume’s Club and a product purchased from a seller in our new Marketplace. When Tom Ford created Neroli Portofino, he really has to have been inspired by this 4711 classic from circa 1792.
